Purpose of the Course:

In 2010 TCF was first initiated with the publication for the first discussion documentation and has since gradually been introduced to the regulatory and supervisory framework for the FSCA.

This course aims to introduce and put in plain language the TCF outcomes and how they can easily be incorporated and applied within financial firms and by their employees.

This course includes:

  1. 3 short lessons on the TCF principles and outcomes,
  2. 1 assessment to test your knowledge,
  3. Course notes available for download and continuous review.

Entry Level Requirements:

  • Communication at NQF Level 3.
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3.

Experience in the financial industry with relevant knowledge of industry-related legislation will be helpful but is not mandatory.

Target Audience:

  1. Individuals operating within the financial industry who which to apply the TCF principles in day to day tasks.

In this course we look at the following topics:

Introduction to TCF

Here we discuss the who, why and when of TCF with the aim to provide a foundation and understanding of the requirement to adhere to TCF outcomes.

The 6 TCF outcomes 

In our second section, we consider each of the 6 TCF outcomes. We delve into how financial firms and ensure compliance and briefly look at the responsibility of the employee in terms of compliance with TCF.

Penalties for non-compliance 

Finally, we consider the extent and type of penalties that may be applied in the event of non-compliance.
